Unpimp my blur

Post by Lostmycage »

OK, here's a brand new thread to post your slow-down mods for the Blur. This way we don't steal MaxG's thunder.

Altrenative titles could be:
YankeeD's slow thread
Zuma'ed down Blurs
etc.

Enjoy!

1st suggestion: fill the pet carrier with lead and put a washer in the variator so that it never reaches high gearing and can only go to 45 mph.

Have my mother-in-law (black-belt nag and budding sumo wrestler) ride cupcake.

I dunno...with all that weight in the back, you'd be pulling wheelies all the time...wait...maybe that's a good thing! :D Well, it's a good way to dump the mother-in-law, anyway! :P

Add a sidecar. Then fill it up with lead.

Just let some air out of the tires, that'll slow it down *and* wreck your braking and handling!

Or eat as much as I do, and leave your jacket unzipped.

I put duct tape over the breather whole in the air filter box. Man, that REALLY works! It wouldn't even run.

Big old section of orange chain with lock to lock up your blur for it is more desired than a zuma.

This is the best thread idea ever, by the way.

Also, it's sung to the tune of "Un-break my heeeaaarrrt!"

I saw this mod last month while in Macau.. the guy had three exhaust pipes on his scooter. All three different sizes, pointing at different angles. Can't imagine it did much for performance:

One more.. if you really want your scooter to take root, plant a Christmas tree on it. Good for wind resistance too.

Barely got this pic, frantically grabbing for my camera while in Vietnam. Not sure how the ornaments were even staying on it:

Just for a little clarification, the "pipe" on the left side is not for exhaust, but is the air filter for the carb. I'm not too sure about the small one under the big one on the right though.

Ah, cool, guess it does have a go-fast function then. Maybe they should point that pipe forward and get some ram air action going on.

It's an oil catch can. I've never seen all three like that together... looks a little strange.

Surely that Xmas tree helmet is DOT approved, but can it pass the Snell?
