I do that on the way to work everyday, what's your point?

Just kidding, it's good to see someone enjoying their Buddy, just don't get too carried away, OK?

I suppose I should be upset, even feel violated, but I'm not. No, in fact, I think this is a friendly message, like "Hey, wanna play?" and yes I want to play. I really really do.

Yeah guys- looks like a "closed course" to me. Safer than rock climbing at the YMCA

Heh heh she's not kidding either- except about the so-called "crone" business keeping her from doing stunts.

This would be more spectator-friendly with a properly functioning belt.

i broke the gears in my red 50 doing a stoppie -.-... I'm riding my black buddy right now, its not as fun because i cant trash this one. For the helmet, im only going about 5-10 on the wheelies (they are all slow wheelies). Ill get some video up soon, i have finally gotten one handed- circle wheelies! Red buddy will be back on the road asap. (with a new 12 o' clock bar)

do you know if you broke the cvt during the stoppie, or landing on the rear wheel hard after the stoppie?

Buddy down, we have a Buddy down! (He's gonna cry himself to sleep on his huuuge pillow!) :P

That sucks. Is the black one a 50 as well, or a 125?
Video would be interesting!

Ah, I love that movie... you must've had to be going pretty fast on that stoppy since the majority of the weight is in the back.

i was going about 15 on the stoppie, and yes the black one is a 50 also same year. Not sure what the gears were called, but they were the two connected to the rear axle of the wheel, 2-4 teeth were missing on both gears

just put brembo brakes and steel braided brake lines on the scoot, along with a twelve 0' clock bar, integrated headlight w/ light shut off switch, rattler 110 bar mounts, and fly racing dirt bike bars. I also picked up 2 sponsors Fly racing and Oakley

So is this where the Buddy's battery is located? I've always wondered... :)

Never in public...

Ba dump bump. But seriously folks...

I have taken the floor mat off once when cleaning but I didn't see what to me was an obvious battery there. I always figured it was located there, but this photo was just such a convenient way to find out for sure. And of course, it was such a fine opportunity for a little humor too... :)

Yes, that's the battery compartment as viewed from underneath. To get into it you simply remove the floor mat and then take out the two screws that hold the lid in place. Remove the lid and you're looking at the battery.

Cool. Thanks Kurt. My first baby steps towards unraveling the inner-workings of the Buddy...

ok so i blew the motor in my red scooter this past weekend. Luckily i found a salvaged buddy locally for free. Did the swap my self and it turned out good. I have finally decided to paint the scooter... It's going to be the same color as the Orange Pearl 2008 Cbr 600rr with some custom graphics that i have yet to figure out. 12 Bar got sent off to get powder coated along with my wheels, they are getting the bling bling gold. I have a few videos but they are very very short and i dont know how to get them off facebook. But if anyone would like to add me and watch them on there just look up Karl Balder from Tallahassee Florida.

Starving the engine

Post by mybug »

Same thing happens on big bikes. Pretty basic what lifting the front does to the oil in the engine.

Always either ends up in damaging the ride or embarrasing the rider.

Not smart.

only 1 problem with your theory, the 50cc is 2 stroke right?

Yep, good catch

Post by mybug »

Yep, good catch. But maybe even being a two stroke the piston doesn't get bathed as it should.

You would think that a two-stroke would be the perfect bike in that regard for monkeying with wheelies.

The guy is still off his rocker.

not a chance

you might get screwed with the pickup tube in the oil tank not being in the oil
