Series Italia
Well To start off I have been anxiously awaiting the new Series Italia. My dealer (Tulsa Scooters) told me they would be in this week so I ran in there to see them before they were sold off. I have to say "not to impressed". I thought the new headlight looked too big for the scooter. It added alot more plastic around the odometer. The white wall tires looked good, but the tires looked cheaper than the tires on the 06's. My favorite feature was the cell charger.
Now with all that said, does anyone know if PGO made the same changes to thier Equivlant model? (i.e. the new headlight?)

I saw my first 07 Buddy today. Not an SI, but a really nice black and silver. While the headlight is obviously bigger, I still think it looks fine. And if the illumination is better, it's a positive trade-off.
Not sure what you mean by your last sentence. If you're wondering whether all the new Buddys have the same changes the answer is yes.

~~~I was at Actionwheelsport (St. Petersburg Fla.), the St. Pete buddy dealer today (Saturday) doing the group ride thing. They had 06' and 07' Buddys. All of the 07' Buddys had the big headlight, 12 volt power outlet. Very nice scooters
Hello everyone.
I bought a B125 SI from Scooter World(Kansas City) two days ago. I like it alot.
The halogin(sp) headlight is much brighter than the headlight on my Chinese clone.
I am not sure that I will ever spend so long on my Buddy that my cell phone would require recharging.
An Ipod charger would be more handy for me. Yes, I ride with my Ipod in both ears. Yes, I have been able to hear ambulence sirens as well as fire truck sirens. Knock on wood that I never hear a cop cars sirens while looking in the rear mirror.
HELP I have 51 miles on my SI now. I have not gotten above 45mph yet. How many miles should I drive before I open her up and see what she can do?
As a retired greyhound racer owner, the tears were streaming down my face reading about the a-hole that did not stop to help those 2 beautiful dogs. "Misty" must have been thinking her dad was nuts the way I hugged her and kissed her head while crying like a todler.
Sorry this is so long. HELLO BRYCE.
Congratulations on your SI purchase! I was just reading a post earlier today discussing methods of breaking in your new bike. There apparently is some controversy as to whether you should break in your bike hard and fast or gradually as listed in user manuals. Below are a couple threads/articles I read today regarding break-in. The general consensus seems to be to avoid constant speeds, but instead rev it and decelerate during break-in. More explanation and reasoning can be explained in the threads/articles below.JokerJim wrote:Hello everyone.
Be sure to post pics of your new Italia when you get a chance!
And lastly, I agree with your comments regarding the coward that did the hit and run. Very sad.
There have been some comments regarding the "new" larger headlight on the '07's. I think if we didn't have the smaller '06 headlight to compare to, we wouldn't consider the new ones overly-large at all. The Vino 125 also has a large headlight, and people seem to have no problem with it. Once we have a windshield for the '07, it should help balance the headlight out.
Since I have an '06 and have been riding at night with it, I can tell you the larger brighter headlight has to be a definite improvement! And thank goodness for the new LED tail-lights!
To JokerJim: Congratulations on your LI! I saw one at my dealer last week and it's really sharp!
I brought home an SI the other day. I have to stop myself from repeatedly going to the garage to admire it. The headlight is large, but I do not think it looks oddly out of proportion. I think it makes the whole headset area look more substantial. It also makes a nice flyscreen
. I added a front rack b/c I ride to the gym and grocery store a fair bit and need baggage space, but I thought the front rack did make the front end visually look even better.
The problem here is obvious, the SI should not be kept way out there in the garage, It should be in the house next to you and your loved ones. You'll want your SI to get to know the family as well as you so It will understand when you must turn It off.slowgo wrote:I brought home an SI the other day.
