Rattler 110 big-bore kit and larger carb.

Post by MotoSteve »

I'm looking to upgrade.

Who's got a big-bore kit on there Rattler 110 and/or a larger carb? I've been looking all over but can't find one. Where can I get one?

Thanks,

I would be interested also. My rattler has 600 mi. I don't know if it was run in right, it smokes some. If that's not normal I will upgrade sooner than later. I paid 1800. so I have room to play if I can find the parts.

I believe this is the big bore kit:

http://www.jiangwayne.com/scooter/p_i.php?i=2

I didn't see a carb on there for the pgo, but they do seem to have some pipes that I wouldn't mind trying out.

you might run into some issues with mounting the exhaust on because it's facing the wron way....I'll have some 125cc big bores ready to ship out in about a week and a half. also exhausts...

we had a couple made for testing....maximum tourque!!

as for the carb, ARRECHE makes some that should bolt right on..

also, think about changing out the crank depending on how high you go.

the big bore kit pics are up at streetkings.wordpress.com

they are reliable as we have 3 bikes set up with them and they are daily drivers. know the top speed doe not change drastically but the tourque and the time to get to top speed do change. also will need to upgrade pipe and tranny to make extreme differance.

interesting..changing the crank? alot of work splitting the cases though. we have not tried this not knowing of any compatible cranks.... interested to know if anyone else has tried....

also carb and gears should make a pretty good upgrade after the BBK

Do your big bore kits have the exhaust flange facing the right way?

we have it facing the same way as the stock flange...
but we made sure to make the right fitting when we made the pipes..

it's weird how all PGO flanges face a unique way...

nice, is it a stock head bored out or a whole new casting?

When will you have a website / prices / way to order / proof this isn't some elaborate way to scam desperate rattler owners craving speed?

I am not trying to imply anything and maybe i'm just paranoid but it is going to take a brave person to do anonymous deals of 100's of $ with a person over seas through PM's on a scooter website.

I really want and hope you are legit but you are only a screen name and free blog website.

I see people post about stuff in Taiwan but don't recall anyone that has actually bought anything.

It just seems strange to me, there is such a demand for this stuff you could make a killing sending parts to the US.

I know having a website doesn't prove anything but it's nice to know that you have a little money invested in the sales business.

I am not sure why you are reluctant to talk prices in this forum, i am going to send you a PM

i am not reluctant to talk prices... just this is a topic board and not a for sale board. we might be able to make a killing but either way we have enough of a market to sell here locally... so i don't need to push anywhere else..

Well, I'd really like to hear from someone on the mainland US who's purchased and installed a big-bore/big carb on the Rattler. No offense intended toward our off the mainland Rattler enthusiasts. I would love to travel to Guam and ride with you all someday. Thank you for all the replies so far.

I think ninjas kit is the only one available.

The last guy selling them had the backward flange so you needed a pipe mod. Don't know anyone that bought one of those.

I don't know of anyone that has bored out a rattler stateside.
I could be wrong though.

I keep emailing scooterworld (ninja's company) and they don't respond back. I thought the prices were a bit high after my initial email to them asking for prices for the pipe and big bore kit. I asked the for the total cost with shipping, no response. I waited a few weeks then asked about maybe do it piece by piece so I asked for the cost of a larger carb. Still no response (been about a week).

I'm pretty sure they are a solid company from what I hear from other sources. but I assume they are so busy with local orders that their non-local sales suffer.

I'm just glad that someone is finally offering parts for the rattler. This seems like a viable option. Gotta figure out if I will do this peicemeal or aoll at once.

The big bore kits that ninja is offering is legit the performance is legit and the demand for this kit is also legit. Guam will be hosting a scooter drag on the 26th of April and I am sure there will be some videos available for all the rattler fans to view. keep in mind that they have a white buddy that is all RATTLER..

samurai scoot offers the same stuff scooterworld does. BTW, I had just installed my big bore, pipe a larger carb and CDI i have not broken it in yet so i have not punched it. but it has tons of tourqe. as for the carb, if you do not want to modify your manifold, you can buy a 21 mm arreche carb at moped hospital and just match the intake manifold to the size of the carb's vortex. i know that it is only 2mm difference than the stock but if you compare the stock over the arreche, it has a bigger and better vortex all the way to the manifold.

samuraiscoot.com has been under construction for some time know. i have been looking at that site for about 8 months. the guy who runs it is cool but i just have'nt been able to get anything. he does answer emails quickly and seems ready to make the sale. but when it comes time for an exchange things fall apart. time will tell. :)

you are correct sir. i was just trying to be a little diplomatic. people stumble across that stuff and get exited. i started a thread for the buddys that kinda blew up. i thought i found something cool and they all ready knew the parts would not work.

UNTILL THIS STUFF CAN BE BOUGHT AND SHIPPED, STOP PIMPING IT. :P

I bought all that crap months ago. From the dude in taiwan. The carb will not fit, the flange for the carb doesnt fit, the pipe doesnt fit. I had a new flange machined for the carb, but have to do something about the subframe through bolt. Glad to see there are some other options. The engine is together, but it still doesnt run. I am pretty well fed up with it. I will look into these other pipe and carb options.

that is what has happened with me also. i need it...he has it. but my last email to him simply stated. "thanks thats what im lookin for, and the price is ok. where do i send the money". that was the last i heard. not sure what else you can do.

there a many carbs to buy. its just the damn intake that is difficult to fit. and if you can weld, that BWS 100 kit for the yamaha is said to be able to fit. but as far as a bolt on...not sure. i posted the link to the same kit that laxer posted (on another site) but not sure if it fits. good price if it fits though.

Ok, so does anyone have a link to a pipe suited for the big bore 126cc kit? Mine is ready to go once I put on the new carb and find a pipe. The one I have of course faces the wrong way, and to be honest, the quality is lacking a bit anyways.

I need a pipe to get it going. The one I have will not work without butchering it.
