[SSR] And now for something completely different...

Post by Skootz Kabootz »

Get a load of this! I saw this "bike" at a vintage show I was at recently. What a beast! Kind of the Hummer of motorcycles. Apparently (so I was told) extra fuel is stored in the wheels (?!), and by plugging up the exhaust and some other engine spots, it can be floated across rivers... wish I could remember the name of the brand. Says "Trail Blazer" on the tank...

NoHo Mike, I think you should build a scooter one of these out of some of your cast-off scooters in the back! :)

You're right! Here's one in better shape. Not sure if it is the same model year. I notice it is 2WD (that would be something to try!) like the other pic but the rear chain is on the opposite side of the wheel...

I call BS on the floating across a river, what's stopping it from turning over in the water?

Ah nostalgia!

I remember my uncle had one of those when i was a kid. Apparently he worked all summer to buy it off his future father in law, who was some sort of documentarian or missionary. Anyway, it never worked, and I'm pretty sure its some where in the woods of my grandparents property. Maybe I'll go back there and dig it up.
