Sky Island Riders D-day Ride

Our June Ride will be to Florence for breakfast. As many of you know, we are making some contact with the Phoenix Scooter Club. Only Glen was able to come down here for the Mt Lemmon ride, so we will be meeting their club in Florence this Saturday morning.

Meet up: How about the McDonalds located on the East side of Oracle at McGee.
Time: Meet up at 6:30 am and Ride out at 7:00am. It's supposed to be about 104 degrees, Leaving early is a good idea.
Details; We will be riding to Florence via hwy79, then to hwy 77 and into Florence. This is about 60 miles of 2-lane 55-65mph highway. I'm thinking of returning via 287 from Florence to Coolidge, then 87 to Picacho. From there we ride the I-10 access road back in to Tucson. This makes about a 120 mile total distance, more, depending on where in Tucson you live.
It would be wise to have some water on your scooter, just in case. Of course, make sure you arrive with a full gas tank and proper air pressure in your tires. I will be leaving my house on the East side (near Pantano and Speedway) at 5:30, if anyone wants to ride out with me.

p.s. - I'm anticipating another ride on 6/19 or 6/20 and probably another "Bike night on or near 6/17. I've got a daughter getting married the 4th of July weekend and so I won't be able to do a ride the first week-end of July, but may be able to do it the second week-end.
