Anyone want to scoot around Dallas?

Post by BuddyDave »

Hi Dallas area Buddys,

I'm putting a feeler out there to see if anyone is interested in doing a scooter ride in the mid area of Dallas, (White Rock, Greenville, Oak Lawn, etc.)?

My desire is to have rides that are 20 to 40 miles with interesting stops along the way, and then finish off with a meal at the end of the ride.

Sundays might be the best day for every one. I'm a freelance artist, so I could also do a Monday or Friday ride.

Please give me feedback. I would love to hear from you.

Best Wish,
Dave (AKA BuddyDave)

I like riding!

I work odd hours that vary each week so I couldn't commit to a weekly event, but I'd like to ride with MB people!

I was thinking of once a month, for now. I'm not so much of a bar scene person, but getting out and about on the scooter with other MBs, taking photos, and talking with folks over a meal is real appealing to me.

I've received a few positive responses already, and I hope to get a few more. I will contact those on the interested list within a week with the plan.

Not a problem if you have one of these. You'll be back home in plenty of time to watch your favorite show.

You know I'm in! It's all about the ride! Less stopping, more riding!

Let me know what's your plan!
Yes, it's fast. No, you can't ride it.

Are you this bunny who I met the other day? I'm still not sure who's who.

Hi Dallas Scooterists,

The ride around Dallas is set for Sunday July 5th. I hope that is a good day for you. I plan on starting the ride, early afternoon, in Oak Cliff and ending up near Mockingbird Station for a meal at Campisi's Italian Restaurant. I'll be plotting out the rout, and my even do a dry run myself.

The objective of this ride is:
• To have a long ride with other scooterist.
• To travel down fun and interesting roads.
• To ride on certain streets, so we can be seen by other, (to promote scooters, and to say look at me).
• To make brief stops at interesting location to take photos and look-a-round
• To share a meal together where we can get to know each others.

Jeremy Sharp and I are starting a scooter club that will focus on monthly rides like the one above. It will be called "Ready Steady Go Scooter Club". We are working on a website were folks, that go on these rides, can post photos and videos.

If all this appeals to you let me know.

Thanks,
Dave

Hey Y'all,

I have been working hard on getting the new Dallas scooter club site up and running. Here is a sneak peek.
http://www.readysteadygosc.com

None of the links work on this page. I'm testing the full site on another server, and hope to have it up in a couple weeks. It will be a free membership site where members can upload images, videos and send messages to other members. I made links to this forum from the site, (no need to recreate an already great forum site).

Let me know what you think.

Dave
