June Scavenger Hunt - ENDS June 30, 2009

Since the economy tanked, staycations have become the new buzzword.

Plan a fun staycation and take a photo with your scooter...i.e., Theme Park, Museum, Random Tourist Attraction, etc. Show us why your town offers the BEST staycation.

+1 Theme park, Museum, Tourist Attraction
+5 Random tourist attraction is famous (US/globally)
+5 Random OBVIOUS overseas tourist in pic.
+10 Random OBVIOUS overseas tourist poses on your scooter.
+1 pic of a hotel
+3 You're holding a "Wish You Were Here" sign/poster
+2 scooter in the pic
+1 you're in the pic
+5 you're wearing the ever hokey and cliched "I went to X and all I got was this T-shirt" shirt.
+5 "You Are Here" map or "Welcome to X City/State" sign
+10 you're wearing even hokier "I (heart) City/State" t-shirt
+1 the first photo

As always, please read the fine print (read this really really fast for full effect):

-Only one photo may be submitted by each member for each week’s subject. (but if you get a better pic later in the week, PLEASE edit your original post note that you posted a better pic and note in the newer post that it is a replacement for a previous pic.
-Old photos you have lying around can NOT be used- they must be NEW photos taken the week the photo subject was posted
-10 BONUS POINTS (good anytime all summer) for a photo of you getting a ticket (photo must include your scooter & a cop writing the ticket) only one of these may be submitted per player. (Thanks to kazoo for the suggestion)
(Edit – you don’t have to be REALLY getting a ticket… if you can get a cop to pose like he/she is writing you a ticket, that is good enough)
-No Photoshop submissions

We finally took a ride out to Barber's Motorsport Park/Museum. It's a great museum for motorcycle enthusiasts- the collection has over 900 vintage and modern motorcycles and as well as a substantial collection of Lotus and other racecars. It is considered the largest in North American and possibly the world. Highly recommended if anyone is in the Birmingham, AL area.

Well, I took this photo two weeks ago but I've been hoping to get a better one with more points but I havn't had the chance, so this one will be it.
