New Buddy Owner introduction

Post by neener »

Hi..

Just wanted to introduce myself to the community here.. i've been lurking around the boards the past few days, and I have to say this seems like a VERY friendly place!

My new Orange Buddy 125 is on order, and should be ready for me to pickup this weekend! This is not only my first scooter, but also my first motorized 2 wheeled vehicle.

I purchased from Scoot Around Town in Ypsilanti, MI.. they seem like a great dealer, and the times i've been in there they have been quite busy!

Look forward to the great information on this board, and chatting with all of you.

Welcome voyeur.

And there is nothing better than getting a new whatever just before the
weekend! Image

Post some pics when you get it.

And if it's not delivered to you by Friday, sue em! :P

CONGRATS! Good to hear another scooterist in Michigan :) You're going to have an amazing time on your new Buddy. Definitely post pics when you can. Who ended up helping you out at Scoot Around? Oh and make sure to add yourself to the map.

thanks everyone!!

We actually ended up buying 2 Buddys... me and my friend each picked one up (he chose the Red).

I will def. post pics when we get them..

I can't remember who actually sold them to us... tall guy, thin.. black hair.. great guy, can't remember his name. Alexis helped us out on our first trip in there.. she answered all our questions, and was SUPER helpful.

I was at S.A.T. Saturday they were extremely busy. Alexis sold me my Buddy, she's very pleasant to work with. Nothing but helpful.

This is scooter season...lol That explains why there's been some delays with things we've needed from them. Scoot Around says they've been selling a lot of Buddies. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more people on scooters here. Glad you have a friend to ride with. I've been trying to talk my friends into getting some... not much luck there. Well hopefully we'll be a two scooter house soon (sharing one scooter is HARD!) Take care and see you around.

Well sure, that was their spring open house. I was there too, got to test drive the MP3 and a BV500.

I think I remember seeing you, I was the short round guy in the Hawaiian shirt. You might have seen my Blur parked out back.

I don't specifically recall.... I was the tall skinny guy there with several of my friends... I was making jokes about having to be seen on that pink buddy with the wicker basket! hehe..

Too bad neither of you got the pink. It's the fastest, as we all know.

Welcome aboard, and happy trails to you both. :D

seems to be some disagreement as to which is truly the faster color!! :) coming from the import car scene... we all know how paint and stickers can add +++++ horsepower! hehe

I'm excited to get my orange scoot, I guess neither me or my friend are secure enough with our manhood to get the pink... tho my best (girl)friend absolutely loved the test ride on the pink buddy with the wicker basket we got to try!

As for what's fastest, I think that has a lot more to do with the rider than the color. Anybody who saw ScooterDave ride during the WKRP rally would have to admit that there's no slowness and no shame in riding a pink Buddy.
