Airoh Helmets

Post by Irishrover »

I am thinking on getting a new lid, does anyone have the Airoh brand, if so are there any recommendations out there?
This is my favourite so far, but in matt black.

Also like the Airoh S4, but it is more enduro style and might not suit scooter use.

That's awesome, but I've never heard of that brand.

The general discussion would be a better place to get more views and opinions. It's not just Buddy specific talk over there. They don't look over this way too often.

Could it be moved, or will I just post again?

Moved it to general discussion and changed the subject line to make it more descriptive.

It's neat-looking, but it's only as good as the standards it meets, and how well it fits you. The "best" helmet in the world is useless if it doesn't fit properly.

I found this review whilst checking out the company.
http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcyc ... oh-helmets

Italian company and the helmets are made in Italy. Compared to the Arai. Sounds like a decent helmet! I didn't read all the way through the review, but it was sounding rather nice...I may end up checking them out further for the next time I need a new helmet. Apparently, the biggest drawback is the cost of shipping/importing to the US...but since you're in Scotland, that doesn't seem to be an issue.

Some companies that are huge in the US are no-name overseas and vice-versa. Nothing new to me. :)

Yes Cheshire, I had done some research into them, but was wondering if anyone had tried one, then discovered that they are not sold in the U.S. They meet our ACU standard here in the U.K. so should be upto Snell standard also.
I like the fact that it is modular, so the chin piece can be detatched giving you a fighter jet look, they are classed as a summer lid because of the thin inner padding, ideal for those warm states.

Look! A furriner!

Welcome to Modern Buddy IrishRover. I'm not sure how many non-US members there are here, but I don't think there's many. Tell all your friends, because the Worldwide Scooter Tag thread would be lots nicer if it was, indeed, Worldwide!
