Plant manager in the wet process area of our big old sewer plant. Nowadays they are known as "Water Reclamation Facilities". Started out as just a sewer rat years ago and have broken down some of the biggest and baddest out there.
Married to a Sewer Fox. Yes, my wife is the QA/QC Manager, aka lab rat. Things have certainly changed in 30 years. Thank goodness.

I'm a speech pathologist by profession, but currently I'm not practicing. Got kinda burned out...now I manage a rehab company's medical records department and train therapists to write better documentation. I'm working about 10hrs/wk.
I stay home with my three kids, mostly. I don't know what I will do once they are all in school....thought about going back for another master's in Art Therapy, but I dunno. Too many interesting things to do in this world!

I work at a veterinary hospital as a supervisor and veterinary assistant/receptionist/kennel attendant/computer repair technician/etc.. Pretty much the go-to gal!
I am currently working towards my veterinary technician degree which I will be finished with at the end of next year.
I also do some pet sitting on the side for some special needs kitties. =^.^=

It's like a canine topiary crossed with a Slurpee. Cruel? Perhaps. Awesome? Definitely. I don't know if "poople" was a typo or not, but it's kind of fitting. The Purple Poople!

The original "Poodle with a Mohawk" poster is apparently now out of print and worth as much as $26 (on eBay)! I should have bought a million when they were only $10 at the mall. I could have nearly tripled my investment. Dammit.

Whaty do you do?
My official title is "Analyst 4". I work in the Enterprise IT Telecom group for one of the big 5 cell phone companies, but what my group does isn't wireless, but mainly landline oriented, and VoIP. Basically we support the customers by supporting all the employees so that they can do their jobs.
A lot of what I do is facilitating and troubleshooting video conference equipment and our video bridge. My group is also in charge of webcasts, audio bridges, Roundtable video units, VoIP as related to desktop phones, soft clients and Microsoft OCS. We also support the cell sites, retail local locations and Regional Business Operation centers througout the country--regarding their phone systems and land lines. I love my job and can't think if anything I'd rather do, as there is so much to do I never know what the next day will bring!

To update mine, back at school trying to get those last 2 unrelated "filler" (IMHO) courses for my associates in pottery...and picking up a new trick. This semester I'm taking Intro to Hand-Wrought Metals.
I'm learning blacksmithing!!
It might take a year or few to get the skills up there, but I wonder what Puca will look like with hand-hammered custom steel body panels made to look like medieval equine armor?

I am an Olympic Marathon Runner cleverly disguised as a Federal Government employee. I work as an IT Specialist for the National Weather Service (NWS): 3 years at the California-Nevada River Forecast Center, 10 years at the San Diego Weather Forecast Office and 11 years at NWS Headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. At 50 years old, my last marathon did not go so well which placed my bid for the 2012 Olympic Marathon in jeopardy so it looks like I will have to maintain my cover as an NWS employee.

I own and operate a used car/truck operation since 2000 in ft myers,fl.....but 2 factors have me seriously considering a change...1) the banks reluctance to provide loans with the bail-out money they all received from us taxpayers... 2) the cash-for-clunkers has destroyed my food chain of vehicles ...

Perfect. Just watched "Whip-It," and the Austin scenes made me miss that town. so 80% of all your cases come from three states, thats just sad. although I'm suprised detroit doesn't account for 80% all by itself. It used to be such a vibrate city and now its just depressingAnachronism wrote:I investigate cases in all 50 states. Yeah, I was born in Michigan. Detroits been going downhill my whole life (really 3 of my lives). Sad.jasondavis48108 wrote:so 80% of all your cases come from three states, thats just sad. although I'm suprised detroit doesn't account for 80% all by itself. Detroit is massive for mortgage fraud because unless you are committing some type of fraud (like with a wildly overvalued appraisal to take the mortgage money and run), you don't even need a mortgage to buy a house. Average sales price for a home in Detroit was $7,500 last year. I've made that in a month before.

Used to be a Technical Director for a Theater... still am with a non-profit venue (with non-profit pay=zero). But, as with many in this economy I got left behind. I'm now going back to school to augment my resume with 3 more associate degrees in audio engineering, business and ...well... something else theater related. At first people balk at the idea of "only" getting a two year degree. But, then they think about the idea of having four degrees in the same field matching a 14 year resume, and then they see my plan: No Masters degree student can snag a job from someone who has real world resume plus diversity in degrees
At least that's the plan, since my last two jobs I was in the running for I lost because someone with the same configuration was willing to work for less. One degree just doesn't cut it anymore.
