GY6 Resource site

Post by Fueldrum »

If you haven't seen this before:

http://www.monstergy6.com/index.htm

Just stumbled across it thanks to the miracle that is Google Ads.

Be careful with sites like that. Our motors arn't 100% GY6 compatible, especially the 125's. And many of those sites sell VERY cheap China parts.

Not that this might not be a good resource for parts, but be careful!

EDIT: And they have some odd practices, the variator fans are sold separately from the variators.... And their parts list is tiny, they also make claims that the parts the sell fit 100% of GY6's, which is not true...

Groovy Kaos, figured it was something along those lines. Pretty clear their air filters wouldn't fit the Buddy. Thanks for the heads up! :)

Not a problem :) I just like to be sure that people understand where the Buddy fits in the GY6 family before they get too excited by the huge amount of so-called "GY6 Compatible" parts sites out there ;)

Hey guys, don't be TOO harsh - I sell variator fans separate from the variators too. People break the fins off their fans all the time when trying to service or change their variators without an impact wrench.

You'd be surprised how many people need new fan plates! :)

Other than that, his prices *are* suspiciously on the low side... :x

I broke a blade off my variator fan.

Well, for the record, I was not the one turning the nut, I was the one holding the fan saying "I'm sure that's tight enou..." (followed by snapping sound).

Also if I ever hit it big at the casino, I'm gonna be making a monumental order, bpnwmike. :D

See, thats good info Mike. :) I know that you DO inform people that not all GY6's are the same though, and like you said, his prices raise flags. He MAY be on the up-and-up, but I prefer to support our community parts suppliers (like yourself) that we deal with all the time.
