My general rule is not to ride if it's colder than 30 degrees but yesterday morning weather.com said it was 28 degrees. Knowing that snow is coming later this week I wanted to ride while I can so I rode. On my way to work I passed a bank temperature display suggesting it was actually 24 degrees- and that's not even taking into account the windchill!
The funny part is I wasn't even cold. I bundled up with long underwear and used my handlebar mitts and my Corazzo lap apron and I was warm enough.
Today it's a balmy 34 degrees as I'm leaving for work.

My older son used to tease me that I didn't ride when it got below 70* that was when we/I only had the 50cc Met. Now I ride whenever the roads aren't wet or whatever! My flannel and fleece lined pants and jeans are my best friends! Wind chill is truely the enemy, my biggest issue is my hands, I have Reynoid's Syndrome, we rode on Sunday it was in the low 60s and my fingers on my right hand were numb but it had nothing to do with the weather!
Yep, I've been riding all week, too. It has been below freezing many mornings. Heated grips, home made bar muffs and good gear!
We are going to have to drive our cages for Wednesday and Thursday 'cause of the snow that's coming
Weekend looks gooooood though!

I LOVE my lap apron/scooter skirt/scooter kilt! I don't even have to bundle up my legs all that much (I wear knee socks under my jeans and my riding boots) and I am perfectly fine.
I got some new gloves, 2 sets of liners: cotton and silk and those are helping a lot to keep my hands warm. I also find that if I use my crampbuster and keep my fingers on top of the brake lever instead of gripping the handgrips all the time, my fingers stay warmer, I think the blood flow is better and that keeps 'em warmer.
I have known folks with Reynauld's Syndrome, that is a tough one, even indoors they would have blue hands that were ice cold. Take care of yourself!

I checked the weather this morning they are predicting 8-12 inches in Fort Collins tonight through Thursday. I think Northern Colorado is getting more snow than Denver this go around. Might take a couple of days to melt 8-12 inches. I hope I'm riding again by the weekend but we'll see.

Wow! Its not even November yet.
In Denver/Colo. Springs/Fort Collins it might snow in October but it could be 70 degrees next week. The snow won't stick around. It's pretty typical to get cold and snow and then be warm again- usually off and on through the end of the year.

Yep. Last February we had a bunch of days in the '70's.

Yeah the only time I complain about the weather in Denver is when I get tricked, Hot at lunch, Snow at dinner. I love it. I will be sporting the cage Wednesday Thursday but hope to be scooting Friday.
