Why would you want to bolt in a smaller engine?mojobuddy70cc wrote:,,so has anyone check out this site about the matching 90 that will bolt onto a 50 frame? same as a rattler. but is the gearing still gonna have those

thanks Ray, ok but is it true that a Rattler 110 is only a 90cc? and is the gear and rollers stock for the short rides, i want to be able to ride for 30 miles one way, so a hi-revving engine would not work . i have some hill issues on parts of the commute hence the reason a Rattler engine would
bolt up and be the best choice. i like the mods on my Buddy as is and don`t want to do another bike, just swap out the engine, sell the engine i have to a friend that wants a faster city bike ( by that i mean lots of stop-n-go)
,,also so what are the carbs for the Rattler being swaped up to a @21mm? what jet are ya`ll using too.

Stop being so ethnocentric
Are you aware that Peugeot, Aprilia, Benelli, Garelli, Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda and a few others all make there scooters in China now. It's not all their models, but it is there cheaper ones.vespatech wrote:those motors are chinese crap i tell you just spend the money on a bigger bike. the buddy 125's are rockets
Genuine's are made by PGO, which is Taiwan, which is a Chinese island.
When Chinese scooters where first imported, about 10 years ago, they were crap, that has now changed. They are not up to the level of the Japanese or European bikes, but they can be up to the level of PGO, SYM, Daelim and the like. They are at about the same level of quality of Jap bikes in the 1960ies and 70ies. I remember the same stuff being said about Japanese bikes back in the 70ies when I was a kid. Things like, yeah they're Jap Crap, they only last a few thousand miles or maybe a year or two" That is proved now to be not true. I have a 34 year old Suzuki GT380 that proves it.
I also work on scooters, race tune them and doing general repairs. I find that 99.9% of the time, that when the customer comes to me and says, it broke already, Chinese Junk, it is because it has had a complete lack of any kind of maintenance. Empty on engine oil or close to it, never had an oil change, no oil in the 2 stroke tank on 2 stroke scooters etc. I have found on one occasion that it was a manufacturing problem. The front wheel bearings of a scooter collapsed. The ones that I have found are truly real crap are the old 2 stroke Qingqi scooters (the ones with the vertical cylinder and chain drive with centrifugal clutch on the end of the crankshaft and no CVT. They look like they have a CVT until you open the casing and see a chain) were very poorly made, using inferior materials and put together by complete retards.
It used to be over here and in Europe that people would say Jap Crap, now it's Chinese Junk. Just because someone starts the game badly Qinqgi, doesn't mean that 10 years later they are still doing the same.
Look inside your phone, TV, and anything electrical and most mechanical things now and whether the badge says Sony, Hitachi, Honda, Suzuki or any other name on any other product, most of the internals are made in China and often the whole thing is made in China and badged as Japanese, European or even American.
