Genuine only sells scooters through its dealers.
Many dealers will deliver your scooter to you locally. Long distance delivery would have to be negotiated.
There are companies that make their living shipping motorcycles. Not cheap.

Finding a dealer that is willing to ship a buddy to you is highly unlikely. First off, a dealer cannot infringe on another dealer's "territory" by selling remotely. Secondly, many local and state laws prevent dealers from selling new bikes across state lines. Third, it's a huge PITA.
A bike sold by a dealer doesn't just pop out of the crate and go onto the floor, it must be set up by the shop's mechanic, tested, etc. To then turn around and ship the bike, it would have to be drained of fluids, a dry battery substituted, and then crated.
Shipping a crated bike can be VERY expensive, last time I checked a "cheap" deal was around $250, not including the crate.
Your best bet if you don't have a dealer near you is to find a buddy with a pickup truck and go on a road trip to a dealer in your state.

Well I don't know where the OP lives, Michigan is a big state. If they're in Cheboygan for example, that's an 8 or 9 hour round trip drive to Ypsilanti I think.
Anyway, it's worth looking at http://www.genuinescooters.com/dealers.html and seeing if there's a dealer within driving range for buddies with a pickup truck. Or Buddy-carrying pickup trucks, or a buddy with a pickup truck that can carry a Buddy... whatever.
I can see how some parts of the country aren't well covered by the existing dealerships. It can't hurt to ask if they'll deliver. Here in Cincinnati, Metro Scooter will deliver as far north as Dayton and as far south as Louisville and Lexington.

It's also important to note the difference between shipping and delivery.
My local dealer won't ship anythign anywhere to anyone for any reason, but has a pretty generous delivery distance (about 2 hours in all directions ,I know they even dropped one off 4 hours away once). It's not free, but still.
Shipping is when you tear down and crate the scooter to be transported by someone else who will just leave it at your door.
Delivery, on the other hand, brings you an in-tact scooter and generally a representative from the shop to at least show you how to turn the thing off.
So if you do call around, use the word "delivery" and you'll be more likely to get a favorable response
