Hello, I am new to the forum and would like to say hello and thank everyone fro being so generous with their info. Really helps alot.
Here's my issue, I was riding home one night when the engine just decided to quit while at nearly full throttle in the city.
Tried to start it back up and found that the engine will only run at a very slow rpm if I hold it at full throttle. It will not idle at all and the only action I can get from the little guy is to hold full throttle which will barely keep the engine just lightly running with a slight slow pulsing cadence...the second I go less than full throttle the engine shuts off.
Any shared insight would be appreciated!
Roughhouse quit on me....

With a 2T you need to start with the simple stuff first.
How many miles on the bike & the plug?
What does the plug look like?
Drain the floatbowl into a clear container, what does the gas look like?
Anything obstructing the intake?
Is the vacuum line from the fuel valve to the carb kinked or blocked?

when ever im working on a 2 stroke that has an issue the first thing is a brand new plug and an airfilter ceaning
when i have the plug out i will hold a finger over the spark plug hole and crank her over and see if it "blows) my finger off the head
if it doesnt then i get out the compression guage
then you need to look at fuel make sure your getting enough fuel into the bore
you may have some sort of masive vacume leak or maybe even a busted reed
but how many miles are on it any mods at all
and what maintnace has been done and what intervels

Thanks a ton guys!
I checked all that was suggested and it led me to taking apart the carburetor. I knew the carb was clean because it was just cleaned about a month ago. When I removed the bowl on th carb, the large jet fell out and was sitting in the pool of fuel. It must have vibrated loose.
Problem solved! So, if you ever have to hold your throttle full open just to keep it barely runing, perhaps the jet fell out or came loose.
