With spring springing, the world famous California wildflowers, poppies, and such, will be in bloom. What could be better than a nice twisty day trip to the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve State Natural Reserve to commune with nature and enjoy some of our spectacular California springtime beauty. I've never been to this reserve before but from what I've learned, it is a really nice twisty ride getting there. Here's the proposed route.

The California wildflowers only bloom for 6 to 8 weeks a year, midMarch through April. We are timing this ride for optimum bloomage (fingers crossed). If the 17th turns out to have spring showers, then we will ride on the 18th.

Please become familiar with rules and regulations of the reserve before the ride. There may be an $8 parking fee per vehicle. I'm not sure how this applies to scooters at this point but we'll of course see if we can swing a deal.

This is a 125cc and above only ride. Please make sure you are comfortable riding this twisty route, check your tire pressure and gas up before the ride, read our group riding guidelines, etc, etc, etc..

That's right where we're stopping for picnic supplies (the Von's on Sand Cyn) so it would be a good place/time to meet.
