For the 161 cylinder kit there are 2 sets of gaskets. One set for the 125 head and one set for the 150 head. The gaskets for the 150 are thinner to raise compression so I'm assuming the 150 head is deeper. I should have taken the time to see how many cc's each head holds but I was too antsy

Took the Buddy out for a ride today, Haven't started tuning yet (waiting on filter) Bumped up my jetting for a starting point. Gained 8mph on the top end running rich, running a tad lean in the mid range I believe :D

I'd say ride in the rain, but 30mph wind SUCKS. Especially when testing a new engine.

Step 1 - Ruin every chance of returning to stock

Step 2 - Create a lowes brand adapter (1.5in sink drop down)

Step 3 - Gather materials

Step 4 - assemble new intake

Step 5 - Install for moar powa

Yeah, guess I can take "Send intake photos to Scootertrash" off my todo list. :headache:

Yeah, its like a swirling vortex of Voodoo :P
I turned my engine over by hand a bit with the 1.4mm of clearance yesterday and its got so much compression I can barely get it past the compression cycle with the kickstarter. I think I'm going back to the 125 gaskets.

Pull the spark plug silly. The 125's would definitely be safer

Man, that would have been a good idea wouldn't it? :goofy:

Yeah, I'll be interested in seeing what you find. I'm thinking this will likely happen on my bike soon as well.

so with your kit, you are just going to put it on when you tune and not have the gauge in the front at all times?

I was thinking about getting this one.. what do you think?

The Eugo is the one I was going to buy but I have access to the portable one whenever I want for free :D .

I didn't want to run it full time due to the pipe restriction but It can be done right. If you use an extended O2 bung it would work well. Make sure you use a stainless bung for the prima

I would have used the extended bung but I didn't plan on running it full time so... I'll just weld another on top if I decide to go full time

The very tip is where the reading is taken. The extended bungs are meant for smaller pipes

hmmm i looked on ebay and couldn't find any extended o2 bung. I did find an universal adapter that seemed like it was extended. Also, are most of the wideband o2 sensors M18 x 1.5 thread?

I have one on my Turbo truck. That is a gauge type so i must be used full time. Its easy to install but where are you gonna put the gauge? lol

Easy 12v power, and ground wiring.

12.8 at idle? Thats pretty rich on idle.

should it be 14.7 at idle?

13.1 at wot? Thats a little lean at wot i think.

whats the ideal AFR in wot for these engines?

Those were just the numbers I pulled first shot. I adjusted the idle leaner but it was starting to stumble so I stayed around 13.5.

Pretty much everything I've read says 13.1 is ideal for power and well within the safe zone. Unfortunately there aren't many articles on a/f ratio's on scooters. All I know is it feels good and there aren't any dead spots
