buddy clutch assembly
Is there a drawing available or can someone tell me which side of the contra spring does the spring guide go on?

I don't think the spring itself has a specific top or bottom.

No, you can remove the clutch bell off. It all comes apart when you remove the 2nd nut (part #2 on the drawing on the scooterlounge drawing).Howardr wrote:So, when you take the nut off of the clutch bell, does the whole thing come apart?
DANGER ALERT!
Be careful when removing this nut. The spring is strong, and if the clutch is pointing at you when you remove this nut, it will fly off and could cause injury!
I used a couple of clamps to fix the entire assembly to my workbench before removing the nut and to get it back on after replacing the spring and clutch.
