Buddy bore kit?
Does the buddy have a big bore cylinder kit? I know of the pipe; Just curious though. I heard the motor is a possible Honda GY6 copy...? If so then something should be available...

Re: Buddy bore kit?
That is the part I'd like to confirm. No bore kit as of right now, but like you say, if it's a Honda clone it'll have a kit.tbonestone wrote:I heard the motor is a possible Honda GY6 copy.
You don't wanna get mixed up with a guy like me. I'm a loner Dottie, a REBEL.

Yes, the engine is a variation on the GY6 model. The issue is (as has been discussed here many times...) that each GY6 manufacturer makes their own idiosyncractic changes to the design. What this means is that there is NO standard kit. Each one needs to be tailored to the engine manufacturer's changes. Therefore, until someone tries out all the available options, we really don't know what will fit. There is one shop, Scoot Over in Tucson (www.goscootover.com) who is trying to accomplish that as we speak. Their head mechanic is seeing that pricey machinist work may be required to make the kits they have work.

Genuine/Scooterworks is not going to be issuing a cylinder kit for the Buddy (at this point). So it's up to 3rd party companies to step up!
