Drive thru funeral home??? How does that work???
Drive in,
Drop off dead uncle Charlie.
Quick cremation,
Drive out.
All done
Home in time to watch the football :D

There's a funeral home not far from where I work. Hopefully I can get a photo of it tomorrow lunch time before anyone beats me to it

Here is one of our local Funeral Homes. I was having a super busy super stressed out day at work today so it was relaxing to go for a nice ride to look for tags.

I've never seen that before, a "Hydrant Booster". as a FF, just curious how that operates, if it works as a fire pump for the complex or a pumping station for the local water grid.

Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how it works or if it's just for the old folks home or for the whole hydrant system. I've never taken any notice if there's more of them around town. I'll keep an eye out for more

I thought about taking the alternative to burial and posting a tag of my scooter with ashes/urn, using my first dog's tin can. But I decided to go another way.

So, here's the Guadalupe Cemetary - a nice old, desert cemetary:
Image

The new tag starts the cycle anew. Your scooter at a fertility clinic:

good luck with that tag. I've google earthed the closest clinics and none of them have such vibrant advertisement. Unless I can get my scooter into the elevator lobby by the directory, this could be a real long search.

I do like the "theme" this has taken..... ads a new dimension to it.

93 and 88%? Shudder's not the right word, but you know what I mean.

According to the Tempe Town Lake Weather Station, the high today was 103 and the current humidity is 12% (but humidity tends to increase as evening progresses). Gotta tell you though, I rode about 20 miles this afternoon after work, and it was hot.

Oh, the turkey baster? Now *that's* funny!

It's the middle of winter here so it's starting to get dark by the time I finish work so I go tag hunting in my lunch hour. So when it's 10:30PM in the USA, I'm already out hunting the next day at lunch time. So I'm kinda in the future... Cool 8)

I stopped at the gate on the way out to photograph the 120kph (75mph) speed limit into the RSPCA grounds. The sign below it says to drive carefully & beware of people walking dogs.

Pensacola's got the BEST mini golf! You can't even see half of all the awesome sculptures!

Image

For the next tag how about a Bait & Tackle? The only catch is it has to have a big sea creature visible in the pic (could be a mural or sculpture or sign).
Mine is kind of hard to see since it's on the other side of the building, but there's a shark on the right side of the photo above the sign.

Ha! Actually the holes on that course go all the way back past where you can see the batting cage. It's separated into 2 courses cuz it takes so long to do both.

For the new tag I suppose I should be a little more inclusive and make it a fishing OR hunting supply shop with either a sea creature out front or other commonly hunted land animals. If nobody finds one in 3 days then you can post any fishing/hunting shop. Okee dokee?

That one's not as easy as it may seem. I haven't seen a phone box in years. The exception being two of them that I saw in an antique store in northern AZ a while back.
Cell phones kind of put an end to them around here.

What Howard said. There used to be a booth in the middle of the Mojave desert, but I understand even that one is gone now.

Equally hard is to find an open air kiosk that is not attached to a building, or nearly so. They get vandalized so much, it's not worth it for providers to put them out in the open. But I remember seeing one while looking for another Hunt (or Tag) photo. Wish I could remember where.

Good one, Tony!

Remember what I posted earlier? Well, never mind. I asked some coworkers if they knew where I could find a phonebooth and one said: "Right next door to Schlotzky's." The same place I've been to dozens of times. Go figure.
Image

Now I'm hungry, so the next tag is a Donut Shop. Not just any donut shop though, no Dunkin', no Krispy Kreme, no (inter)national chains, just your local independent purveyor of deep-fried deliciousness. (Smaller chains are Ok too. Who knows I may be in your area some day?)

Ugh Syd! I had a real American phone box that I was going to snag today...grrr. And in Rhode Island, Dunkin' Donuts IS our local donut shop. There's one on every corner and people give directions with reference to a DD location (turn right where the DD used to be). And even tho' DD wasn't born in Rhode Island, we feel it's OUR local donut shop. I think it's cute that our neighbors to the north are trying to sell Tim Horton's here.

Circle is right by my house but their doughnuts suck big time. We are more of a Krispy Kreme town, since our first one opened in the 60's. Anyhow here it is:

Now the new tag: A BARBER SHOP

It's gotta have the spinning striped pole (or at least a stationary striped pole).
