ride to work

Post by bamboo »

ride to work day is this coming wed. anyone planning a special ride to work on that day? I was thinking about a scoot parade of nearby people all riding to work. Sorta sounds like impromptu rally at 7a.m.!

Any thoughts?

I'm hoping to GET my bike back before wed...might be too hopeful?!

I generally get into work fairly early due to calling on East Coast Clients.

I'll contact members of the local scooter clubs and see if we can do a mini lunchtime rally kind of a thing.

Anyone in/near Sacramento want to do a quick lunchtime ride in downtown/near the Capitol???

Almost every day is Ride to Work day for me.

That was prime reason #1 for the purchase of the scooter. All the fun has been a happy bonus.

i would, but it'd take like an hour and a half. i work about 33 miles away, so i just bicycle to the bus station and take the bus. that takes about an hour and fifteen minutes or so.

It's not ride your bicycle to work, it it ride your motorcycle/scooter/moped, to work.

Here's an earlier thread: viewtopic.php?t=1757&highlight=july

heheh i know that. i didn't make it clear in my post that it takes me an hour and a half to get to work if i were to ride a scooter, because i would have to take in roads.

i did it a few weekends ago just to see how long it would take, and that was how long it took. and that was without traffic, too. so i'd imagine that with traffic (yes even on the inroads) it might even take longer.

EVERY day can be Ride To Work day--If you're properly set up for it.
Carpooling however, can be a bitch.

You should have gone all out and attached water ski ropes and wore snow skis. I always wanted to do that in an abandoned parking lot in Connecticut when I was over there.
