Pulled the trigger...

Post by killbilly »

...and bought a white 220i today. Wanted to ride it home but there wasn't time to drop my car off at home and get back to the shop, so I'm picking it up in the morning.

Very excited. :D

Nice, was it hard with all the great deals going on with every other Genuine scoot? That's what I would get, (da blur) hopefully they go on sale before my broke paying for a wedding ass gets around to buying one!

Nah, I knew the blur was what I wanted. It's the first one they've sold in Austin, so I got a pretty good price on it. Going to ride it a while and then start modding some, I think.

This is my first scooter. All my previous experience has been on larger motorcycles (damn near bought a BMW R 1100 S instead of the Blur) so it should be an interesting journey.

You got the first one in Austin, that's just cool. I can't wait to partake.

(If you got the white one, you gotta be a Storm Trooper for Halloween  )

Congrats. I'm waiting here in Cali. Hope the Blur comes here soon.

Hah, an R1100S is quite a few shades from a Blur. If money is out of the picture, that pays a hell of a compliment to the Blur. :D

Congrats on the Blur!

I honestly love me some Austin.Once I was trying to get back from Mardi Gras, we stopped in Austin broke as a joke. We had no clue Austin rocked its own Mardi Gras. A few ladies I met on Royal St in New Orleans left all of their beads on my bus. I then sold all of da hoochies beads (they worked really hard for  ) in Austin, I was the only guy there with real non plastic Mardi beads. Made a grip, and scored floor space. Then went back to Phx with a great story. Also love the disc golf scene there! Its like an oasis. The fact that you went with the blur is ultra pimp. Passing on the beamer saves you mucho cheddar, & I would love the Blur in Austin. Fun place to ride with good minded people.

The Beemer was used, and only about $500 more than the Blur, actually.

It came down to practicality. I want something I can tour on, but the majority of my riding is going to be around-town stuff.

I'll add a BMW to the stable later. :D

Austin's a fine town. A bit in love with itself, but a fine town nonetheless. Been here about 2.5 years now.
