Site Changes: New Forums

Post by ericalm »

Hello, members!

As you should be able to see from the forum index page, we have added the Gallery and Technical Library sections. Feel free to begin adding to the Gallery.

We'll be populating the Tech Library over the next week or so, then will invite suggestions for threads which could go in either that we may have missed.

These will be administered much as they are over on MV. But with our own ModernBuddy flava, of course.

Thanks Eric. I know you worked hard on this. I saw your message for Jess over at MV.

You're welcome.

As we're moving threads, we really can't ask permission from all OPs to relocate them. So if we move one that any of you would rather have stay (and can make a casual case for it not being elsewhere), please PM me.

Along with this change, do you now have the ability to sticky?

 I think that the excellent photos and description of the Buddy oil change could well be placed in the Tech Library, where they would be easier to find... :?:

Yes, that's exactly the sort of thing headed for the Tech Library.

Nice work.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but the Black Cat forum has way more Rattler activity than Black Cat posts. I suggest you either change the forum name or create a new one for the Rattler.

Finally! Great job Eric!

Big props also need to go to Ellen, who has been campaigning long and hard for these kinds of changes and improvements to the forum.

Way to go Ellen!

Any more thought to changing the Black Cat forum to Black Cat/Rattler (or such)? Or maybe calling it the PMX/PMS* forum.

And thanks again for the hard work
-K

*Rattlers are PGO PMX's and Black Cats are PGO PMS's. Hey, I didn't name them.

Yep, I'll change that today. I'd rather stick with the Genuine names, though. This is Modern Buddy, after all. Plus, they have other names (in Europe) as well.

Guh... Already goofed up adding a thread to the Tech Library. Consulting experts to make sure it doesn't happen again. :?

Thought I could split and merge posts while leaving copies in their original threads. Not so. Omnipotence is as elusive as ever!
