I got this deal last January on my 2009 Italia. Very sweet deal. If you're thinking about buying and your dealer has the inventory, this really makes it worthwhile. This year's accessories are just a little different, but it's still a great offer.

Too bad the deal is not on a Buddy 170. I would so be there...seriously.
The scenery only changes for the lead scooterist.

Not selling according to who? I see plenty on the streets around here. Dealers are going through inventory...

The dressed for the holiday deal is clearly there to move old stock like the internationals.

I bought my stella last january and I just so happened to have walked in just before the promotion was due to end, I had no clue whatsoever. Got me a great deal and it saved my bike so many times, no doubt she would be totaled by now with all the stuff I have pulled on her if not for the crashbars genuine gave me for free (I would not have had the cash to purchase my own set and wasn't considering them otherwise, now I would buy a new set without second thought if I got myself a new bike.

Only difference in the stella deal is that the legshield is gone and substituted by a front rack... I'm sure its due to how many of each they have in stock but I am much happier with having gotten the legshield.

Last year's DFTH promotion didn't have a model-year restriction - I think you just had to buy from stock. But that was when everybody was anxiously awaiting the Stella 4T and the 170i.

They're selling like hot cakes around the Northeast... I had to wait a month to get mine!! No one can seem to keep them in stock!

I hope it's good for the Blackjack.

My local shop still has a Blackjack. And about 30 other Buddies & Stellas on the floor, and more in crates. The sales guy said 'where was all this inventory last spring when I needed it?'

The shop where I purchased my Italia had one Black Jack in stock last Friday. (Leipold Motors in Ottawa, IL)

Vespa Schenec has a "new" BlackJack in stock too. It has 14 miles on it, and a couple scuffs on the right side body panels... may have been a test drive bike at another dealership previously.
If I could afford it right now, I would go buy it off the floor just to take advantage of this offer... but alas, I gots no money left after the 170i.

I haven't been by there in a few months, but there was one at the shop were I get service. They have a bunch of surplus inventory from their former lakeshore dealership, which carried Genuine scoots.

I saw one a few weeks ago on the showroom floor at a dealer in another state, not my local dealer.

I have only sold 1 170 back in June.
I sell a lot of Buddies and got an extra shipment of 150s back in the summer and am almost out of them.
I have been out of non current model 125 (except one) for a few months now.
Everything 125 is 2012.

Metro Scooter in NJ has a new 2009 that I'm interested in. I was initially considering the Psycho, but I think I'd prefer the Blackjack - I've always liked them and now that my red Buddy is dead :( . . .
So I've been talking to (PMing) the dealer. He is participating in the holiday promotion. I want to trade in my husband's old 2006 LX150 that I've been riding (I could just keep it, but I really prefer the Buddy). When I find out what the dealer is offering for the Vespa, I'm hoping we can make a deal that will make me a new Blackjack owner! :D

DUDE! That's a great deal. There's a dealer local that still has a 2009 Stella that's 3100 OTD. If I knew about this offer I honestly would've waited on my current bike and bought a Buddy or Stella with all the bling. :(

Never fails, you buy something and not a month later, there's a better deal...

I saw this and yelled "YYEESSS!!!" then I went to my local dealer with intentions to trade the Rattler on a leftover 2T Stella; they didn't hear about the package giveaway; the owner called Genuine to get details; to paraphrase what he told me...the dealership has to sign a contract to participate; the paperwork from a sale is submitted to Genuine; here's the clincher...suppossedly the dealer has to pay @ 2/3 of the price for each accessory package;

I thought WTH?!? these dealers have already cut the price on the scooters and then they have to put out more money for accessory packages which cuts into what small profit they get from the scooter sale; :?

I guess all or part of this could be written into the sales deal, but the website makes it sould like a 'FREE' incentive...not really when all the facts are discovered :(

I opted to not make my dealer eat the cost of the accessory package while I contemplate my trade for a few more days;

Yeah, so far this promo is a bust. Genuine assumes wrongly that the dealer is selling the scoot at msrp so they can afford to chip in on the "free" accessories. It just ends up with the same or worse deal a customer would have gotten anyway. No one is going to buy a 2 year old model for msrp. The $$ difference between current year & earlier year is not great enough to warrant it.
