I just picked up a used 2007 Buddy 50 for my girlfriend to get around town on. It hasn't even been delivered yet, but I was told about a few issues with it and I would like to order some parts right away so when it arrives I can start fixing it up.
Can someone recommend a good place to order parts online?
Just thought I would add this link since they seem to list a bunch of parts. I think I will give them a try. They have almost all that I am looking for.

Thanks for the welcome. And if she doesn't like it, I'm sure I will. I own several bikes, but haven't has a scooter since I was 15.
I recently rented one in Rome for a few days (a 250cc I think it was) and had the time of my life on it. I could have done with a different helmet however.
I'm actually thinking of getting one for myself as well to keep in Toronto. I spend a lot of time there, and a scooter 250cc or less is allowed to park on sidewalks if it does not block it. A major bonus there since parking is a major hassle.
And then there is Motorsport (ScooterWest). Motorsport, among others, actually carries more parts than they list on their website. Always worth a call if there is something you need. Same is true of Scooterworks.
They seem to have a lot of accessories and upgrade parts but not OEM parts.
Call them directly at 1-888-968-3772 if you don't see the parts you need online. They can get any of the parts for the Buddy but sometimes there is a bit of a wait. However, I have found that they will ship parts to me quicker than my dealer can get them.

Here's my take on ordering online. While it may seem like a good deal and more convenient to some, I prefer to use local dealers. Sure you may not have one in your area, but if you do... use them. It's nice to have a local shop where I can go on a Saturday morning to get what I need when I need it. To be able to ask questions about stuff. To be able to make easy returns and exchanges, but these guys are struggling. I am willing to pay the sum of an online price + shipping cost + a convenience factor to a guy in a local shop. If you don't use them, you'll loose them. Then you loose a place to have your scoot serviced too. Maybe I've been burned by too many online etailers or maybe I just like to shoot the breeze with people. I really hate waiting for stuff when I want it now. I also see shops drying up. The other day I had to order an 12" kids scooter tire because no one carries it. Not one bike shop, sporting goods store, no where. Nothing fancy. Just a 12" bicycle tire. I paid more in freight than the tire was worth. I don't want a world where you have to order everything online. Ok, I'm done. Sorry.
Local dealer should always be the first place to check.
Many local dealers get a lot of their parts from Motorsport aka scooterwest.com.
Almost all of the retailers have parts in stock not listed on their sites, so it's always good to call and ask!
I've bought most of my Vespa parts from Motorsport. Really good guys who know their stuff. They recently supplied me with a giant box of stuff needed to rebuild to top end on my Vespa. When I ordered a couple parts I didn't need (gaskets that come with the head, I think), they left them out with a note. Gracias!
I've also purchased from Scooterworks. Though affiliated with Genuine, their retail side is separate from the scooter company, the Chicago dealership and their wholesale parts division. They may even have parts your dealer is having trouble getting from Scooterworks Direct.

I 100% agree. I would normally do this, but for me personally, I can't because my only days off are Sunday and Monday; the two days my local dealer is closed.
I would also like to add that scooterloungeonline has blow-up drawings with part numbers and prices on their website which makes finding and ordering parts much, much easier.
