I mean, I guess they are. My dealer has 'em and they sport the Genuine logo on the sleeve. Not really good colors for me...

I've wanted this shirt for a bit. Lokky has a Genuine shirt (not this one). I was under the impression he received it with his care package, from his purchase of the Stella. Thusly I had been anxiously waiting for my package...

I am wearing one of the "Do it with a buddy" shirts as I type this.

Yeah, not a great color, and a simple one color print. BUT, fun and it makes me smile. It was cheap enough so I had to have one.

I was supposed to get a package too according to my dealer; that was in September. While it'd be nice if a shirt is the freebie, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. It's free advertising for Genuine. But an Italia pint glass? Now you're talkin'!

If you didn't get the welcome package from Genuine, your warranty may not be activated. I sent them an email to check and they took care of both ASAP. Great service from those guys. That was not the shirt I got. Not sure that's the message I want to spread for Genuine either.

Your warranty is activated as soon as you buy a new Buddy and ride off the lot. There is a card but it doesn't matter. If a part fails the first day, it's replaced under warranty.

That wasn't the case for me. My dealer thought I needed to register my scooter online somewhere. I called Genuine and they took care of it. I got a call from my dealer to apologize for the runaround. I got my welcome pack a few days after.

Ok......just throwing it out there.........how serious are people when they say they want scooter shirts? The reason I ask is becasue a work for one of this country's (Australia) largest clothing & promotional products companies. We do a lot of contract printing for retail labels such as Unit, Fox, Jetpilot & Loosekid Industries where the print designs are primarily MotoX & Xtreme Sports oriented.

I've recently been pondering producing something for the scooter market, but it comes down to how adventurous people are........ i.e. how would it go down with "your significant other half" if you were getting around with a t-shirt with a scantly clad (but tastful) pin-up girl on a scooter? e.g something like below but with a scooter

In general, I think the scooterist aesthetic in the US is a bit different than what you often see associated with motorcycles. Even with regards to modern scoots, the look is often more retro/classic. I hope.

There's some demand for scooter-themed apparel, but no lack of supply.

I think the demographics are pretty different for scoots... And the definition of "tasteful" is going to be a lot different to a 20 something motocross kid, and a 40 something scoot commuter. In the US, I haven't seen anyone riding a scooter that was trying to project an image of being sexy or cool... Or any image really... I think scooting is more about having fun, and being economical.

I have yet to see a flatbiller on a scooter. I have seen them on 50cc dirtbikes, so maybe the crossover coming soon.

I'm not sure what is behind a picture like this, but someone thinks that scooter pilots are pretty bad ass. I've seen discussions about scooter pilots trying to be perceived as tough. I'm with you that the 40 something scoot commuter is having fun and being economical, but that doesn't mean that they aren't trying to be perceived as hard core "bikers", and some are definitely trying to project an image.

*snork* I make a point to look as awesome and happy with being a scooterist as I can. Not that I'm the most fashion-forward, always-has-makeup-on kind of gal in the first place. But I'm confident that if I think I look awesome, that has an impact on how others view me... and I do actually care about that (well... most of the time). I guess since I became a scooter owner, I've seen myself as part of a minority, kind of... and thusly I'm sort of like an ambassador to the world, on behalf of scooters and scooterists everywhere. Why the hell not look awesome?

As the great Barney Stinson would say, Scooter-suit up!

15uzu, I think Eric's right... speaking specifically to the scooter community, I think a pinup gal would be cool (cute, even!) but it'd definitely have to be a very retro design, rather than looking like it came from a muscle car magazine.

I have the black and white one, it was given to me as a gift from someone awesome.

The medium is a little big for me, the arms are a bit big around, so I'm guessing it's measured more in men's sizes, but I'm a little person either way. I did what I could to shrink it.
It worked perfect over some other long sleeve shirts while I was out shootin' guns in the cold a couple of weeks ago!

I know most of us aren't artists, but I am!
...and if enough people were behind a shirt or whatever with something like this I would be more than happy to design it and put it up on cafe press so you can pick whatever color/style shirt you want. I can change the Vespa style scooter to a Buddy... whatever your little hearts desire.

(Obviously I would have to remove logos, and anything else that could be construed as copyright infringement.)

Alrighty then. I will start working on it as soon as I beat this awful cold. I think cafe press does stickers too, but I'm limited to a certain number of things that I can pick from for each design. I'll see what I can do and post up a link when it's all set.
As far as things with the modern buddy logo go, that's up to Ericalm. I can design it no problem, but I feel like it should go on a modern buddy account, as opposed to my account.

How about a tasteful. retro hunky guy on a scooter for us ladies? I just can't see myself wearing a pin up of a lady on my shirts. I would love to get some stickers for my scoot but most of them have a male theme to them or are pink. I know many women go for pink but I really can't stand that color.
