Buying a parts buddy 125

Post by lovemysan »

I looked at a wrecked buddy 125 with 1 mile on it. Not run in 3 years, has old gas in it, no front wheel, no title, back rim and tire ruined. Front forks look bent. Basically it has sound mechanicals and usable plastics. It kicks through fine. Stator works I think it would run with a good cleanout. Asking price was $200ish. Should I buy it. I have a 50 and 125 already but wouldn't mind having a few extra parts.

I would. Parts alone. If you don't use them, you could part out things you don't need and sell them.

Sure. I would in a heartbeat. If its got a title I would put it together and ride it or sell it...

one thing, run the VIN, make sure she isn't hot.

For the engine and other parts, sure! The frame may be bent of the fork is.

No title, though? Hmmm…
