Hello everyone, I hope the day is treating you well. I have a slight problem with my 170, I perfromed the full service on my scoot and ran into a couple of things. First as I tried to rremove the transmission cover, as gently as possible, the gasket seemed to be fused partially to the cover and to the transmission, as I tried to "peel" the part stuck to the tranny it ripped. So, I need another gasket but can't seem to find one for the 170. I noticed the 150 gasket has a couple of bridges in the center whereas the 170 does not, anyone have an idea where to the 170 gasket or will the 150 work?
Second, two of the rollers had very noticable flat spots, you could actually feel it with your fingers; so what rollers to replace with I think they use 12g, but not sure. Any help would be great .
Last, has anyone replaced the stock air box with a K&N cold air filter?
If its not ripped too bad you can use silicone adhesive to join the ends together.

Stupid gasket seems to tear most of the time. Maybe replacement should be part of a transmission service? Or you can just poke it back in where it goes. I don't think the ends need to be connected for it to do its job.

I tacked down the old pieces with a little silicone gasket epoxy and put a bead on the rest. It seems to have worked out fine.
I can't wait for the new rollers and air filter to see how everything worked out.
I had to tack my CVT gasket down with silicone adhesive the first time I cracked it open. Never understand how the gasket always ends up longer when I reinstall

I don't believe anybody has begun modifying the engine airflow of a 170i. With fuel injection you can't just swap out a jet to add more fuel to match the increase in airflow. Typically two wheeled forms of transportation can't automatically compensate and add more fuel like a car or truck can with their mass air flow system of monitoring air flow. It could very well take some computer programming to remap the amount of fuel being delivered.

The sensor should be able to adjust the injection for increased airflow unless you are going extreme with those modifications.
My initial thought was to get rid of the OEM filter and box and go with something a little more practical, cost of airfilter + ship for me from Scooter Lounge Online is $23. After the cost of the intake tube the cold air would be better, because I can purchase the filter locally. However, finding an intake tube with 2 vacum fittings is turning out to be a unicorn hunt. So until a company designs something specific I guess I'll have to stay with the airbox.
I wish Scooter Works carried the air filter so I could combine stufff and save on shipping.
