something on the mirror ..maybe?

Post by Marly1312 »

hello, i just joined today and was reading through some topics, i thought this one is funny ... how about you all put something like a little bow or something on your mirror so everyone will know that you are in the forum when they see you :) maybe with numbers... so i could say, hey i saw number 5832 today :D hahaha

That's a good idea, but I usually just see scooters going the other way in traffic...not able to get a good look to see a number.... :?

It's a good idea. I would say a license plate holder, but it wouldn't be necessary on 50cc's and I don't think all scoots will take a holder where the plate goes besides that.

This is why we need another batch of patches... Eerrriiiicccc!

Although I kinda like the design of the sticker better, tbh- esp if it were to be blown up a little into a decal.

Many states still require a plate on a 50cc, I like that idea but it only would work if someone is behind you.
I made a small hanger of sorts for a sticker from a scrap vinyl siding to display something below my plate. (Who woudda known, in 1988 I built my house 'St Tropez blue )

Yea its nearly impossible to see anything on anothers scoot unless your right up on them.I'm not sure how many would want to add this but a flag like bicycle riders use would definitely get noticed.Maybe add something to the pole part to identify buddy forum membership.I'd say add a membership symbol to the flag itself but with the flag flapping in the wind it wouldnt get noticed often enough.

Next?

Pretty please Eric? You could even delegate it, under threat of having the person's name and title changed to "MOPED" or some such if they goof it :P

I have no Buddy's in my town. I'd be the only one wearing the patch for miles.

We have decals coming!

I won't do patches or buttons (yes, we had buttons!) again unless I find someone to handle fulfillment. At that point, I'd probably lose money on them! Maybe I could work a deal with Scooterworks or Scooterlounge… Hm.

What entails fulfillment?

I enjoy decals! What size are we talking?

You're only supposed to receive those as gifts!

We have some 3" diameter (I think) decals.

Fulfillment would be taking orders and shipping. But there's probably little-to-no money in it. We could probably bump up the price a bit, but there are low margins on the patches. :)

Well then, what if we each buy one and it gets sent to another member! Then it's a gift!
(Something like that is how 'The Ride Bell Chain' worked)

I was trying to sniff out if it was something I could help with, seeing as I'm not doing a lot else in the way of work right now XD but I'm not sure how they would get to me for me to ship them ?_? I wasn't expecting monies.

We actually don't have any patches right now! I'll look into getting some more made, then shoot you a PM.

If I handed it over to someone, I'd definitely want to give them some kind of a cut. Only fair!
