Am I being greedy?

I have what looks like a definite buyer lined up for my MP3 250, and I was thinking of taking some of the proceeds to get another Buddy 125, as they have a few 2009s left for $1,999 locally (new, with the $300 coupon for bling). I know there will be set up and tax, but it still is a pretty good deal for a new scooter.

My thoughts were to have a spare for the (hopefully rare) times Little Bit will be down. Also, this new scooter could share the miles, I'd have a spare for if/when my uncle and his wife visit from California (they both also have Buddys)...and if I need to sell it in the future, gas prices going up shouldn't make that an issue.

What do you all think?

I really enjoy both of them (I like the Buddy better, but that's not the fault of the MP3s

).

I just don't need 2 MP3s, and let's face it, the Buddy gets better gas mileage, and takes up less space in the garage.

Plus I would imagine that the cost of ownership on the buddy would be alot nicer then the MP3.

I've been lucky so far--no real mechanical issues. I did have to replace the switch on the MP3 500 that controls the rear brake light and allows the scooter to start (but that was only $10, and I was able to do it myself), and I have replaced the rear tire and battery on the 250. I will say that the batteries for MP3s are definitely more than those of the Buddy...I think it was around $100 if I recall.

I bought the Buddy new, and both MP3s used. Even so, the MP3s each cost more, but they are bigger (and niche) bikes, so that's to be expected.

I don't really anticipate any issues from either of them in the near future, but just don't need two of them, as combined they just take up too much real estate in the garage.

If I get another Buddy, I can always store it in our shed...not something I'm able to do with the MP3s, as maneuvering them around the side of the house, through a narrow gate and up two stairs would be a bit difficult. I have a little (foot wide) ramp I bought for the Buddy a while back for that purpose, but that won't work for an MP3.
