Seafoam
I've been putting about 2 ounces in the tank (where else?
) every other time I fill up. Is that about right, because I don't think you should be putting the whole can in at once?

Southern singular is y'all
Southern plural is "all y'all"

I assure you that's about right. Even one ounce.
As for Seafoam itself I like to put a couple of ounces in every so many months. No hard and fast rules. Just as preventive care. I believe POC Phil, a prominent scooter dealer in Cleveland, once wrote he has owned and rode over 300 bikes in his day and using Seafoam not one ever needed a carb rebuild. Same goes for his customers, for the most part. Just passing along info as I understand it.
As for myself my mther has a Blackjack I tend to and has just under 1000 miles in just under two years. Not a lot of miles, and it has sat some and quite often. "Old gas?" Maybe not too old, but a couple months old, sure. And not run much. Longish story short when I am with the bike I have used Seafoam in it several times and it runs like a top. Just had its first service, no issues with the fuel system whatsoever.

I use a couple of ounces once every few months, added to a full tank. I've repurposed a dosage cup from some kid's cold medicine for measuring out the proper amount. This post made me think twice about the idea of putting it in with every tank: viewtopic.php?p=242931&highlight=#242931

The directions on the can look like 1-2 oz per gallon. I got a measuring cup at Walmart that shows ounces well, so I don't have to guess how much I'm putting in. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Anchor-Hockin ... s/17693182

I use Sta-bil with gas fills for the ethanol issue. The Sea-foam I give the 2oz/gallon dose for fuel system cleanout. Not both together. For measuring I tried the medicine dose cup which I found amount was off. What gives an accurate amount is the oral dose medicine syringe that is labelled in mls or oz. 30ml=1oz. as reference. The sea-foam has been fantastic my scooter after years of hibernation seems to be performing better than I can remember it had so it must be doing something good. Never used it before but now plan on continuing.
