Thumbs up to Genuine! =)

Post by michelle_7728 »

I purchased a second Buddy 125 (one of the clearance 2009 models where you get $300 worth of bling if you purchase before 4/15/2012), and unfortunately my dealer went out of business a week or so later.

Anyhow, it's been around 3 weeks and I was wondering about my bling coupon. Then I thought, hmmm, maybe I'd better check in with Genuine to make sure everything is in order, since my dealer is gone now.

So I emailed Genuine and they got back to me within the hour! Fast response!

Sure enough, though the dealer did send in the paperwork so that my warranty is in effect, they did not submit whatever it is that I need to get my bling coupon, or free t-shirt. Genuine send me a form to fill out and return to them, with the copy of my sales agreement and they are going to get me all set up.

So those of you out there who might be in the same situation as myself, where you purchased your scooter, then your dealer went out of business, DO check in with Genuine to make sure everything is in order...you never know!

Again, big thumbs up to Genuine for their fast response and great customer service!

A shame they went under, I bet if they were able to hang on just a little longer! Seems like scooter sales are going up!

What was the email that you got to speak to Genuine? I have a couple questions myself. We bought two Psychos out the door and I have not received any paperwork in the mail yet. I was told something was suppose to be sent to me?

Roadside assistance card and and any SWAG that you're due can take a while. Sometimes the roadside assistance cards don't ever make it but you're still covered.

Most times, emailing Genuine is not the way to go because your dealer is your point of contact. If you have general questions about not receiving info, talk to them. In the OP's case, Genuine was the only option since the dealer is no longer an option.

I bought Bogie back in September and my swag has *never* arrived.

//Not that bothered, but still.... :(

Was when you bought your scooter within the "free swag" timeframe? If so, you should contact your dealer and have them check into it for you.

Definitely check with your dealer. I paid for my 170i at the beginning of September, picked it up a month and two days later (long story )... and I got my free swag by the beginning of December, along with my roadside assistance card.

Remember you dont need the "card" to use roadride assist. I got the number from my dealer and all they ask when you call for a tow is the VIN number. The number for roadside assist I was given is 866-311-8982. I keep that number and my VIN number in my wallet. 8)

Edit-And as far as the swag, it took awhile. :?
