Wife's co-worker has a Buddy 50, been sitting for two years so "It won't start"(no surprise there!).
Drained the tank, put fresh gas in, cleaned carb out and it starts and seems to run fine but I was wondering what the initial/preferred settings are on the fuel adjusting screw and the air screw in the side of the venturi (the one with the black plastic knob) - or in plain terms "How many turns out?".
Thanks for any help.

Not sure what the stock settings are in terms of number of turns. Did you change the settings for these?
Have you looked at the plug? The air/fuel should only need adjustment if you're running rich or lean.

I haven't messed with the adjustment screws but I have a feeling her husband and/or son may have jiggered with them before I got the scooter to work on.
Plug shows it's been running rich for a while, I haven't had it running enough to have blackened the plug as much as it is.
Before I retired in '09 I was a mechanic for 30 years, standard practice for just about anything you didn't have a spec on was "Run it all the way in then back 'er out about a turn and a half and start there". It seems to run ok now, but I figured I'd see if there was a spec so if nothing else I'd know how close I was.
Thanks for replying.
