I think one difference between Texas and The South is that in TX "y'all" is always plural, but "all y'all" is a collective plural.

'In Texas, "y'all" can be 1 to 5 people...and "all of y'all" (the 'of' is almost silent) means more than 5.

I've seen the quip about southern plurals floating around facebook every now and then as a funny photo being shared or whatever.
There could be some truth to what Eric pointed out. While I know I say "y'all" all the time, I have to actually think about whether I say "all y'all". I'm not sure I do... I meant I may have... I just can't recall an instance offhand. *shrug*

Can't say I've used "ya'll" past the age of five growing up, be-it singular or plural. And I'm a Georgia native...
