Painting Wheels
Ive seen some pics of buddys with painted wheels. Id like to paint mine, but Im not sure how complicated it is to remove the wheels from the bike, and the tires from the rim. I need to be able to do this in a weekend because my scooter is my only transportation to and from work. Has anyone done this themselves? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't painted anything, but reading this tread makes me think all you need is some of that spray paint. I would probably do the wheels and the pipe. Also. I'm guessing you should make sure you mask off things you don't want painted ..

Couple of things:
Remove the wheels.
Clean and degrease your rims well before painting.
Mask off the tire, deflate the tire so that you can push the masking tape between the tires and rim.
Use good spray paint for metal, the hardware store will have it.
Do it on a warm day so that it dries and cures properly.
My yellow rims look brand new after 1 ½ years (that is when I wash them) no chips or peels.
