Hey miss jifer... i've lived in Oceanside since august 2011 & still am only one of 2 buddy's i've seen around... just some orange one...

70mph indicated, downhill.

It's a long stretch of Fair Oaks Ave in South Pasadena with no real threat of cross traffic or folks entering the road from driveways until the bottom of the hill. Climbing the hill and keeping up with traffic is a WOT affair. Keeping it at WOT as I get on the downside of the hill is a very interesting affair, indeed.

70mph indicated on my Agility is 63mph. I pulled back soon after, however. 50mph is my usual speed down that hill.

But yeah, 70mph was "by accident." Looked down, there it was :)

I got 72mph (on the speedo ) on a pink buddy 125 last weekend. Down hill, tucked in. That is an amazing little motor. [/code]

Maybe Saturday Morning ride to Tee and Cakes! (I just had chunk of cinnamon roll from them yesterday, and it was sooooo good).
Hey! Saw some reponses to this but no real answers but one. This is a great idea. Anybody up for a Buddy 125+ ride?

Yes! I just need it to work out schedule-wise. We're doing the Donor Dash Sunday the 15th so that morning is out for sure.

Cool!

Seems like we have several routes to choose from. The only thing missing is coordinating a date and time. SO . . .

For any and all who are interested, I set up a Doodle at:
http://www.doodle.com/7c595u9twrqttssu
to help with scheduling.

I set it for Saturdays @ 10 AM, now through August. (Not all of them are selected because I want to be there, too. :)

Just log in and pick all the Saturdays that work for you. The date with the most votes WINS!

I am happy to admin and will notify all the lucky winners via email once we have a date. Close out for this Doodle is Friday next week, June 22, 2012.

You bring up an interesting point. I know bupkis about Denver routes so someone else will need to choose. (Scully??, Leif??, Anyone??) It would sure be nice to know what the route is before we all show up!

And I'll post this on the Misfit website as well.

Looks good. I voted for Saturdays in July but noticed that Mile High Mayhem is July 27-29 so we should consider dropping that one off the list.

Fastest I've gotten on my BlackJack is 80 bmph.

I was just cruising along, when i noticed that the engine was screaming, i looked down and was doing 80.

It was pretty much perfect conditions. downhill, wind at my back, entering a low pressure zone created by two semis in the two lanes to my left and a concrete overpass to my right.

I used to live between Standley Lake and Jeffco Airport, and there were several routes I would take (driving) into Boulder and south into Denco that were to the west of the routes I've seen in this thread, many of which were fairly traffic and stoplight/sign free, to a large extent. Notably Alkire and Independence around Standley and what used to be Storage Tek Dr over the Turnpike. Some of the north/south streets between the biggies (Federal, Sheridan, etc) also went most of the way in either direction but were less traveled. Might be worth a look if you go to Boulder regularly from Denver proper.

that stretch in/around old-town broomfield are all redone now. what used to be my little backroad is no longer so :( but, the road's nice and smooth now if that counts :)

what's the general idea for this ride anyhow? from where and to where?

The thread has been moved but states:
Please Note: At this point a couple of people have suggestions but the route has not been selected. I am relatively new to scooting and don't know riding in the Denver area.
What we have here is a ride that is looking for a voluteer to choose a route.
If you have a route you enjoy now is your chance to share. If we do this again then we can take turns picking route or do a vote/survey thing but for now we just need to get started. Anybody??
