hiccups at WOT
It started out a few days ago, I thought it was from riding in the rain. I didn't have any issues on my trip to and from RVA last week, or the test run when I put my new belt on after that. I noticed when WOT, it lurches a little. No strange sounds, just a sudden decrease of acceleration, for no more then a second, then it picks right back up. Happens again intermittenly. Strangest thing. It feels fine on surface streets, but only seems to happen WOT. Mind you, I'm in a major city, so I'm limited on my chance to peg it all the way, but I noticed it a lot more yesterday evening and this morning, which were both dry weather. Not sure what to check, I'm about to take apart the clutch this week and check the springs. Doesn't feel like a roller issue, maybe a spark plug. I just put a new plug in just over a month ago.

Hmmm, how odd. I would start by eliminating possible causes, easiest things first — check that the spark plug cable is properly seated on the spark plug, then check the belt for signs of slippage (If the belt is still new and is still breaking is it's possible it might be slipping some under WOT load), then check fuel supply and see if maybe it's clogging somewhere along the way or if any additional air is perhaps getting into the mix at higher rpm's. The lurching sounds similar to the symptoms I had when I was having my airbox/fuel mix problems.
That's all I got.
That's all I got.

As cheap as GY6 CDI and ignition coil components are, why would a Scooter Cannonball participant NOT have TESTED spares?BootScootin'FireFighter wrote:Had the stator fail on me after day 1 of CB
