You guys are getting the heat that has hung around here in Denver for a couple of weeks. We are finally going to get out of the 90's and get some rain. Unfortunately, it means flooding for the burn areas.

Stay cool, folks.

Outside temp at work in Scottsdale AZ read 110 yesterday... last week was REAL bad at 114, but it tends to be a few degrees hotter than many parts of Downtown Phoenix.

They say we may get rain next week... but they always promised that. A couple of days ago was the first rain we had in a few months

That's by the Lakeshore, where's it's cool. It's several degrees warmer here, inland.

Heh heh heh. Indeed. Warming up next week, though. Still, no triple digits, even in the Valley, thankfully.

3 straight days of 100+ temps here, a record. It was 104 at 3 PM today. With the high humidity on top of it, I'm ashamed to admit I left the bike at home and drove the SUV with the nice cool air.

I think we've also set a record for 90+ deg days in a row.

I guess we're paying the piper for that incredibly mild winter.

Got it. Just saw that movie a couple of days ago... Loved it.... I'm on topic... I saw the movie up the street to beat the heat ( am I a poet or what???)

Heat

Post by theflash784 »

Look out east coast.....the heat is coming your way! Hope you have your power back up and can run your AC. This is supposed to be our last day of record heat in Michigan and then it back down into the 80's.

One more bad day here as well. I thought it was suppose to cool off to the low 90's today, but woke up to a local forecast calling for one more 100 deg day. Can't wait for the 80's.

105F now, and I've gotta go play at an outdoor wedding this afternoon, by which time we'll be at 108-110F. Gah.

Riding in the heat doesn't bother me...it's the stopping that really stinks. If I thought I could turn the handle and just keep going...there wouldn't be a problem.

101-107 F in Nashville today.

I'm with ya on that! I had to cancel a big ride I was going to lead last weekend for several reasons. I don't feel comfortable leading a large group in the middle of the afternoon in this weather. It was the day after our "derecho", so many trees and powerlines down. And as expected, we were exceptionally busy at work the day before, 32 calls logged and barely 3 hours of sleep for me. It's postponed for now.

Not entirely true. I've actually seen a few Genuine Scooter people around here.
