After-Market Wheels?

Post by 2wheelNsanity »

I was looking at these as a better looking replacement for the Buddy's stock wheels: http://www.partsforscooters.com/Rear_Ri ... tegory=383
I do not have a vernier caliper so I was wandering what the Buddy's wheel specifications are?
Has anyone replaced thier wheels with anything other than the Buddy Stocks?

More than likely those will not fit. There is a tooth count difference between the buddy and the gy6 final drive gears. What you can do though, find a PGO rear rim and cut it up so you only have the spline axel and the rear drum. Drill out some mounting holes at 140mm and mount almost any 10-12" ATV wheel. Reverse the fitting and shim if spacing is needed for a higher offset. This is the way I'm going to go, and how the rucks get their tricked out fatty back wheel. Then I can go with any front 10-12" rim with a 12mm axel. It's a bit of a project if you don't know what you are doing.

Yea, I thought they wouldn't work. Your idea sounds great, but a little to involved for my tools and abilities. I might have to go to plan "B", paint :D
