7 degrees!

Its against my religion to ride in colder than 40 degrees – I have parts that I like to protect.

28 degrees here for my ride this morning, my Buddy ran like a champ.

I've never tried to convince it to run at 7 degrees, that's somewhat below my lower threshold... I think the coldest I ever rode was about 14 degrees.

Fortunately for me days that cold are much rarer here by the Mason-Dixon line than they are for you in MN.

I have ridden in single digit temperatures but my 125 is parked overnight in an underground, heated garage. Also, the amount of time I'm actually exposed to those temperatures is only about 15 minutes and I can take just about anything for short periods of time.

Today it was only 24 degrees when I woke up but there was a surprising inch of snow. The roads were a mess so riding was out. This is already the 2nd time this month I've been forced off my Buddy. Cold is one thing, ice is entirely different.

Just get it heated blanket, and it then it will be your friend again!

My B125 can handle our "cold" mornings just fine, but I don't enjoy it so much...

Bundle up tomorrow morning because Palo Alto will dip all the way down to 45 degrees.

22 degrees this morning. Buddy had a little trouble starting, I had to turn her over about 3 times, and every time I tried to give her a bit of gas she would die. But eventually stayed on and I rode! Need a better pair of gloves!

16 degrees F this morning in Denver. My new baklava makes a huge difference for my face and neck but also makes my helmet super tight. After about 15 minutes I could also feel my fingers going numb. If my commute was 6 miles instead of 4 I would've been pretty miserable this morning. And while my Olympia gauntlets are great, I may need something a bit warmer when the mercury dips below 20.

gt1000,

Do you use liners with your gloves? I have Olympia gloves and use silk liners inside them when it gets really cold. They're cheap and effective.

Thanks for the tip Kevin. I'll have to give that a try before springing for warmer gloves.

Not any more.
I just flew into Phoenix – @ 2:00 p.m..
Its raining cats and dogs and it’s about 62 degree – saw one person on a bike, Harley and he looked miserable.
Still it’s so much better than Albuquerque where I was coming from – it snowed yester day!
