First Flop

Post by TomCat »

Well, my RH isn't a virgin anymore, made a classic newbie mistake this morning.
Before going for a spin, I started the scoot up & put it on the kickstand while I shut the garage door. My driveway tilts slightly downwards toward the street & (you guessed it) I had it facing the street. Before I even reached the garage door, over she goes.
Luckily, it hit mostly grass but I still got some scrapes on the side & a cracked left tail light housing. Gonna super glue the housing back together & try to buff out the scrapes but a couple will need touch up paint. If it still looks crappy after I touch it up, a guy down the street at a bump shop does pinstriping so will see what he can come up with to cover the damage (it's in about a 2 square inch area). Or maybe just leave it as battle scars?
Could have been much worse, at least I wasn't ON the scooter for the flop.
Other ride--- Lifted '08 Suzuki SX4 AWD

so sorry to hear about your flop. mine hasn't fallen yet (i think "yet" is the key word) and i hope it never does (wishful thinking?). but, thanks for posting this....i went out to get some donuts this morning and there was a slight incline in the parking spot i pulled into. as i was about to turn it off i thought of your post, turned my buddy around so it would be facing uphill, and said a silent thank you to you for letting my buddy remain flop-free for another day.
And I shall call her "Fiona."
