The rally made the news...

Post by skully93 »

This was our first Mayhem, but it has been going for 15 years.

A local paper showed up to take some pictures. We're in #2 on the Italia and #59.

Overall it was a really big rally and a lot of fun!

There were over 100 bikes on some of the rides. There had to be traffic blockers, thankfully most of the cagers were amazed and understanding.

If you follow Velobuff his blog also documents some of the madness.

there were a few accidents, no serious injuries. I wish everyone would wear helmets at least.

Yep, I call them 'plastic classics'

Some of the more classic folks were a little cranky, but really it they were 25% of the rally I would guess.

Westword? You call that rag a newpaper? <wink wink>

I used to read Westword religiously when I was there, especially during the DIA siting process and the JonBenet fiasco. Westword also used to have a writer that deserved much better than a weekly alternative (Robin Csomething, I think). She wrote some of the best articles I've ever seen in newsprint.
