New scooter jackets from Dainese avail in US

Post by Dave R »

Hey everyone, sorry for not posting for awhile... Thought I would share some new apparel news. We have been trying over the past few years to find a scooter jacket we could offer in a similar price point to the ever popular Carazzo jackets. (we are too close to others in the city who sell them)
So here they are, we have a decent selection on hand..... feedback is always appreciated.

Okay.., I guess they're alright if you're thin and wispy, but for those of us xtra large cats they look too tight and are cut way too high on the waist.
Also IMO they don't look damn near anywhere worth $200!!

Thanks for your input, they do come in sizes up to a 60 Euro (50 US) if that helps.
So you prefer a longer jacket ? What do you wear now ? What did you spend on it ? TIA

Well, they certainly look nice and trim (like me!) (Heh.)

However, some of the things I like about the Corazzo 5.0 (which I tried this weekend and fell in love with):

- Wind flap that overlaps the front zipper.
- Vent zips at the wrist and on the back.
- Reflective stripes for nighttime visibility.
- Longer tail and longer sleeves.
- Availability of the jacket in orange! (With black and white stripes!)

Just my own input.

Hi Dave! Mary here... thanks for asking input!! Everyone's tastes are different, but I do love my Corazzo jacket. I'm still looking for a summer jacket, since my mesh jacket (that was too big) got stolen from my car. The mesh corazzo is only in Men's at the moment, as i understand things...

I would like to see something a little more retro looking for summer. If I could choose a nice Dianesse from their current line I'd go for:

the Rio in women's style (too bad they don't have one!)

Or if you can get some RevIt jackets. They're super spendy; and quite Euro but i'd give up cash for the Ladies Typhoon

Typhoon (not really that retro, but seems nice and breatheable, plus the rain piece, just in case)

Wax is cool

Soho is also nice.

I'm a big fan of Dianese so I'll add a few points. Dianese tends to place its zipper wind flaps inside the zipper. I also believe that Dianese holds a number of patents on stitching, especially for leather. Their products are track tested and among the best quality, most protective gear available anywhere. If you go down, Dianese gear should hold up. They are cut to fit tight but that's the moto way, you want your jacket and pants tight enough that they don't move and bunch up if you slide.

I'm also a fan of Vanson, RevIt and Roadgear. Since I ride scooters and bikes, most of my gear is bike gear because I think it protects better than scoot gear (and because I don't need 3 or 4 jackets). Dianese perforated leather and Vanson mesh cover virtually all my needs.
