...but I left the battery for my camera in the charger!
Except for the gravel road for the last 1.5 miles or so, it's a great ride. I will definitely go again (with an operational camera). It was a perfect day — I went for a three mile run, swam, read, swam so more and had a fantastic ride (once I was far enough from Boston any way). Highly recommended for those in the area, but you have to go early because parking is limited and they don't let people in once space runs out. This also means the beaches aren't crowded which is great.

I think I'd need to waterproof my scoot before driving there I've never been to Plum Island, NY, but I've gone past it in a Ferry a few times. Haven't sighted the Montauk monster through.

I came from Boston, so I took 99 and then route 1. I don't remember where it happens exactly (maybe around Ipswich?) but even route 1 is nice. But the height of it was Refuge Road, of course.

Yeah Route 1 can get pretty nice once you get farther north. I grew up in Salisbury, so I've spent a bunch of time around that area including Plum Island. If you didn't mind a longer ride I bet 1A would be a great route especially if you added 127 -> 133 in the middle. Lots of great scenery and riding roads in that area.
we went on a surfing trip to costa rica and my friend said he was good with a camera.Well we ended up with two rolls of pictures of his eye[he had the camera backwards] just classic!
