2 days, 600 miles A scooter adventure Part II

Post by Howardr »

A while back, I wrote about our Tucson scooter club taking a 2-day, 600 mile ride from Tucson to Cottonwood, AZ and back. It took me a while, but I finally got Part II posted. In Part I we hit hit a lot of wind and rain. In Part II, temps dropped overnight and snow was in the air. This called for some flexibility and some changes in plans and routes:

I'll second Jrsjr's comments.

There is nothing I enjoy more than touring on one of the bikes. Living vicariously through the rides of others gets the blood flowing for another long ride.

I really have to get out to AZ and do some riding ... the scenery looks to be incredible.

An *Edit* P.S. The oatmeal pie looks like something I should try as well.

I had never even heard of Oatmeal Pie. We were just stopping to warm up a bit and get some coffee. I love pie and saw that on the menu and had to have some.

Rob, if you or anyone else comes out to AZ and wants a guide, let me know. I'll do what I can to make sure you ride some great roads.

Thanks Howard! I certainly hope to be able to do so in the semi-near future. Perhaps I can tie that in with one of Skootz's adventure rides.
