The Dangerous thing about a scooter in the shop (A Picture)

Post by rfman81 »

So my buddy has been in the shop this week for the warranty repair of a fuel leak somewhere. What's dangerous, time on my hands to look at Vespas instead of scootering.

About 2 hours ago just put a deposit on a new to me GTS 250...red at a good off season deal.

It's dangerous to not have a scoot in the shed.

Nice! Congrats! That's how it happened to me too — Buddy developed a gear oil leak, went into the shop, a week later I had my GTS. Cause -> Effect.

Ha,glad I am not the only one. Now the problem is, do I keep the buddy, I don't really have space for 2....

Well, space is not an issue for me so I managed to rationalize keeping both:
Buddy: city scooter, top case, loads of storage, great for errands, inexpensive replaceable plastic body parts incase of mishap.
Vespa: for road trips and points beyond.

Where there's a will there's a rationalization :P

Buddy Pamplona 50cc, 2009 Vespa GTV 250ie.... And I do live in the city.... Ride both, car sits alone most of the time.... Rather unloved. Poor little gas piggie. No... Def not the only one. Join Modern Vespa.... You will find a few of us there as well :D

That's a potential problem for me whenever I enter a scooter or motorcycle shop, attend the MC show in Chicago, visit a website, etc. I'm definitely an impulse buyer and invariably I'm get something I hadn't planned on.

Thanks everyone, Don't worry buddy guy, you will be seeing/ servicing it soon enough. Looking forward to showing it off to the scoot Nashville crew even thought I think there are about 3 or 4 that actually know who I am.

cool bro, hope you took advantage of today if you have the ride already. If not tomorrow looks pretty promising! Hope to see you soon in the new ride. Post a pick so I can see it. Wait... why am I so excited? I feel like I bought it! I guess it's the excitement of wanting to own one myself. I'm just waiting for "the One". :)

Hmm, my scooter developed a leak and all I got was a stain on my driveway.

I got the chance to ride a Vespa 300GTS this past weekend. Wow! I was very impressed. If I didn't have 3 scooters and a Ural in the driveway, I would be looking at buying one.

Well the awaited picture of the beauty.

Enjoy all. It is an amazing ride.

And now, I must confess, the buddy will be sold, as much as I would like 2 scoots in the shed, there is no shed, there is only enough room to park 1 scoot. So the buddy is up for sale in the for sale area.

Thanks for looking.
