Hello,
So I just got a large Prima Roll bag for my Buddy 150cc St. Tropez and it looks great! The only problem is, I live in San Francisco and I'm pretty worried about somebody stealing it. It's also kind of a pain to take on and off all the time. I know I saw a pic somewhere of someone who drilled a 2x2 piece of would through the inside bottom part of the bag, and attached lock to it so that it cant be ripped of the rear rack. Now I can't find this picture anywhere!
Does any one here have any pics of how they have been able to secure their roll bags to the rear rack??

Re: Securing Prima Roll Bag to Rear Rack
Sorry, I don't have pics as my large Prima roll bag is on the back of my '87 Honda Helix which is in Seattle and I'm down here in AZ until early April. I use bungee cords to secure mine but if you're in a theft prone neighborhood that isn't going to help much as a thief with a sharp knife is going to have it off in a matter of seconds. Fortunately, my bike is in the garage overnight so it's reasonably secure but if I wasn't able to secure it I would substitute a locking coiled cable for the bungee cords. I know, a skilled thief could still get the bag off but not in seconds. By slowing him/her down you're discouraging them especially if they're in a busy, lighted area where they can be easily seen. Hopefully you're able to ride and park in such areas. If not, your entire bike could easily be the target so rethink your routes especially where you park. Be safe!jscootin wrote:Hello,

Hi, is this the pic you are referring to? I searched and searched and finally stumbled on it by accident. Hope this helps. I've make the pic clickable so it will link you to the original thread (which turned out to be on Modern Vespa). Good luck!jscootin wrote:I know I saw a pic somewhere of someone who drilled a 2x2 piece of would through the inside bottom part of the bag, and attached lock to it so that it cant be ripped of the rear rack.
