For a FI Buddy, such as my 170i, will a performance muffler work right out of the box or are adjustments required such as on a carbureted Buddy? Either way, for those of you who have gone the performance muffler route, any recommendations on brand name and purchasing source? TIA,

A different muffler on a FI buddy won't do anything other than sound different.
It isn't a 2T so there is no boost from an expansion chamber.
and you don't have an adjustable carb, so you can't add more gas to take advantage of a higher flowing exhaust.

All very good points. If I have to spend $300 - $400 just to get a different sound with no boost in performance I think I'll stay with my neighborhood friendly stock muffler. Hey, thanks!SYMbionic Duo wrote:A different muffler on a FI buddy won't do anything other than sound different.
