Landing on your head at 30mph will kill you just as much as landing on your head at 130mph !
Lets not get into the age old helmet debate !

It means if you carry a passenger you ain't gonna see shit.Tipper wrote:What does this mean ?.Lokky wrote:Plus those helmets become useless the moment get a cupcake.
Regarding helmet costs $400 is not unreasonable.
What people don't realize tho is that $100 helmets meet the same requirements as $600 helmets. Your head isn't going to be that much safer just cause you spent several times more. The higher price points come down to comfort, noise insulation, weight and brand.
And I say this as someone with a 300$ lid.

I havnt tried it yet,my scooter is long over due its first service so I have been trying to ride it as little as possible but what I have read from other owners is that its still affective as long as the pillions head is not directly behind the riders.

I agree, I also have a £50 helmet. Its much heavier and more noisy than the more expensive lid,its no where near as comfortable and it fogs up in the cold.
But it has passed the exact same safety tests as the helmet that is £200 more expensive.
Open face helmets are a whole different kettle of fish and in my opinion they should be banned.
